TIW Have a ‘Wedding-Themed’ Ball!

Last month two wives from Tactical Imagery-Intelligence Wing (TIW), Caroline Dobson and Laura King very kindly offered to organise a ‘Wedding Themed Summer Ball’ in aid of TIW’s chosen charity The Anthony Nolan Trust.

The evening was a tremendous success and raised £873.50 which has been added to the Wing’s ongoing total which is now in excess of £75,000! The idea behind the evening was to give the ‘brides’ a chance to wear their wedding dresses one more time and for those ‘singlies’ to join in the celebratory atmosphere!

Kicking off with a champagne and canapé reception, followed by a buffet, wedding cake and favours, the evening was as true to a real reception as possible. The Sandringham Centre looked fantastic; decked out in beautiful flowers and exquisite table decorations.

Live entertainment was provided by musical duo Cpl Andrew Hanson and SAC Daniel Scott from the catering section and they very kindly provided their services and time free for this charity event. A raffle followed with prizes kindly donated by local companies and the Marham community and to everyone who gave so generously – a huge thank you.

SAC Joe Palfreyman from the Parachute Bay, Survival Equipment provided the disco and kindly DJ’d for free, ensuring everyone got up on the dance floor!

All through the evening Mrs Vicky Musk and Mrs Rosanne Wilkinson Keates were providing professional photography and also donated some of the proceeds to the charity.

Without all these exceptionally kind people the evening would not have been possible, but most of all a really big THANK YOU to Caroline and Laura for organising such a superb evening.
