Smurfit Kappa Donate Boxes

The Hive recently received a very large quantity of small cardboard boxes, to be used by families of deployed personnel to send out goodies. These were kindly donated by local company Smurfit Kappa March.

Mr Bob Tavener who works for Smurfit Kappa and delivered the boxes to the Hive, explained that the boxes had originally been ordered from Smurfit Kappa from a customer who later returned them as they were surplus to requirement. Rather than shredding the boxes, the customer, local company Optimum Packaging, decided along with Bob Tavener and Smurfit Kappa that they could be put to better use and contacted RAF Marham accordingly.

Station Community Support Officer, Flight Sergeant Terry Norman, took delivery of the boxes and said “It’s a fantastic gesture, ideal for deployed families to send out goodies to their loved ones.”

The Hive would like to thank Smurfit Kappa March and Optimum Packaging for their generous donation, and also thanks to Bob Tavener for his help and delivery of the boxes.
