II(AC) Squadron Engineers Awarded Team Commendation

Last month saw II (AC) Sqn return from their Op HERRICK deployment. Prior to leaving Afghanistan AOC 83 Gp, Air Commodore Forward, awarded II(AC) Squadron Engineers an Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Team Commendation for their laudable work throughout their Op HERRICK deployment.

Below are a couple of extracts from their citation: “Throughout their operational deployment, II (Army Cooperation) Squadron’s Engineering personnel have strived for the highest of standards and maintained an exceptional level of operational output notwithstanding the considerable challenges they have faced.”

“Consistently assiduous and keenly proactive, all of the personnel of the Engineering Team have epitomised the characteristic ethos of Royal Air Force Engineering specialists that have continuously grasped opportunities to enhance operational capability. Owing to their success in uniquely challenging operational circumstances and their exceptionally professional focus, the II (Army Cooperation) Squadron Engineering Team is richly deserving of formal and lasting recognition.”
