TMS Make an Effort for Mo’vember

While November and indeed Mo’vember seems a while back now, the efforts of Tornado Maintenance School (TMS) are worthy of a mention.

Those that agreed to take on this noble challenge put their images on hold, as they were required to grow a moustache for the month of November. By the very act of growing a “Mo” the participants were highlighting the important issue of men’s health, in particular prostate and testicular cancer. Not all of the participants had the stamina or fortitude to see out the month with a ‘Mo’, such was the magnitude of task involved and a few floundered along the way. The initial aim to raise £200 for the Movember Charity, was surpassed and good old fashioned team work and dedication saw a final sum of £1,200 being collected  – an outstanding effort by all those that took part.

In the spirit of the occasion, a ‘winner’ of the finest moustache was nominated, “The TMS team have enjoyed supporting this very worthy cause during the month of November. There was good competition in the “best in show” award but above all everybody should be proud of their efforts in raising the £1,200 pounds for the charity.” Phil Blakely.
