TIW Present Crest at ST Clement Danes

Tactical Imagery Intelligence Wing, (TIW), based at Royal Air Force Marham, recently presented the official TIW plaque to the Church of the Royal Air Force, St Clement Danes, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the formation of TIW.  Funding for the plaque was very kindly donated by Hewlett-Packard and the Thales Group.

The blessing of the plaque was undertaken by the Rev David Osborn during a dedication ceremony and to ‘commit personnel; past, present and future into God’s hands’. A space was available directly adjacent to the RAF Marham Plaque that had previously been located within the floor of St Clement Danes Church. This rather aptly added to the contribution from the Station and resulted in a rather fitting tribute to TIW and RAF Marham; especially important in light of recent and current operations. The service lasted approximately 15 minutes and was followed by a discussion on the history of St Clement Danes Church and a tour of the grounds.

TIW was admirably represented by Wing Commander Hetterley – Officer Commanding TIW, Flight Lieutenant Lessey, Sergeant Pilkington, Leading Airman (Photographer) Browne, Senior Aircraftsman Downey, Bushall and Ellison.
