The Royal British Legion Riders Branch Ride to RAF Marham

On Saturday 2nd April approximately 130 members of The Royal British Legion Riders Branch rode to RAF Marham to present a cheque to Wing Commander Jim Mulholland, Officer Commanding 31 Sqn.

The Royal British Legion Riders Branch is a National Branch of the Royal British Legion and has nearly 4,000 members worldwide. This year the Riders Branch has raised a staggering amount of just over £150,000 for the Poppy Appeal through various sponsored events. The bikers travelled from all across the country, meeting up at the Hollywood Diner in Swaffham before riding together to RAF Marham to make the cheque presentation. Wing Commander Mulholland joined the bikers for the final stage as a passenger on the back of a Honda Goldwing before accepting the cheque on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

The money raised will really help with the work that the Royal British Legion does providing welfare to all Armed Forces – serving, ex-service and their dependants.
