SWO as Honorary Chief at Mildenhall

RAF Marham Station Warrant Officer appointed as Honorary Command Chief of the 100th Air Refuelling Wing, RAF Mildenhall.

RAF Marham Station Warrant Officer Paul Edwards had the privilege of being appointed as an Honorary Command Chief for the 100th Air Refuelling Wing at United States Air Force base RAF Mildenhall last week.

Warrant Officer Edwards and a host of local dignitaries were inaugurated in a special ceremony held in the Galaxy Club at RAF Mildenhall. The Honorary Commander Programme is designed to encourage the exchange of ideas, experiences and friendship between key members of the local civilian community and the RAF military community.

After the ceremony Warrant Officer Edwards said: “I feel very honoured to be asked to fulfil this role, it will be an interesting and valuable experience to work with our American colleagues. The partnership will be mutually beneficial in that we hope to further our relationship between the two bases and within the local community”.
