Seaside Special: School’s Out 2011

What could be jollier for 23 deployed families and children to start the school holidays than being whisked on a complimentary coach trip to blustery Cromer.

Destination: Cromer Pier for the Seaside Special’s first performance of the School’s Out season. We were welcomed by the organisers with a photo call with Stormy Sam, the RNLI mascot followed by complimentary drinks for adults and children before settling in our seats for two hours of singing and dancing extravaganza.

Entertaining ventriloquists, slapstick comedy and gravity defying BMX stunt riders enthralled the audience, not to mention the fantastic singing and dancing to familiar themes songs from Toy Story, Joseph and the Technicolour Coat, Shrek and High School Musical. With complimentary ice creams to sate any interval hunger pangs, it can be said that we all enjoyed the show and returned to Marham, ready for the summer holidays.
