Last month the MCO represented RAF Marham at a rededication of a memorial to a WWI airman who died in a training exercise crash. The airman was 21 year old Canadian pilot Lt Joseph Philips who was on his second solo flight when he was tragically killed in a crash close to Harleston on July 20,1917. Representatives from the local community joined military and civic personnel in a very moving rededication service and the planting of a maple tree next to a cross.’
