RAF Marham’s II (AC) Squadron Raise Money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers

During their time in Afghanistan, II(AC) Sqn personnel raised £5,546.81 for local charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

The idea behind the fundraiser was based around the first flight of the Squadron, 100 years earlier from Farnborough to Montrose, a return journey of about 1,074km.

To raise money for the King’s Lynn charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers, 100 personnel from the Sqn successfully cycled, ran and rowed the journey in 100 days while off duty. At the end of the event, the Squadron had covered over 108,000km! The fundraiser was a welcome distraction from what was a very busy and demanding period for the Squadron, their second time on operations in two years.
