RAF Marham Friends & Families Day

RAF Marham Friends and Families Day 2013

The annual RAF Marham Friends and Families Day was again a great success with lots of people attending to enjoy the day.

The weather stayed dry for most of the day allowing people to watch the flying display and participate in many of the activities and entertainment available around the site. The Brietling Wing Walker displayed with their daring ‘wing walker’ on top of the aircraft wowing the crowds with their acrobatics. One lucky person has won the opportunity to have a go at wing walking themselves with Brietling donating this ‘prize’ for a free raffle.

Unfortunately the Falcons parachute display team were unable to display due to the amount of cloud but the crowds disappointment was short lived as the aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial flew overhead to start their display. The Chinooks, Tornado’s, Apache’s, Wildcats and Sea King also displayed making it a fantastic event. The flying concluded with a formation flypast by the Red Arrows.

The Friends and Families Day is held each year as a ‘thank you’ to all the families and friends of the Station for the support that they have given throughout the year.
