RAF Charitable Trust Donation ‘Talking Tins’ for Deployed Families

Talking Tins, for those of you unfamiliar with them, this new initiative is an alternative way for families to stay in touch during a deployment period.

Children record a message, post it off to their deployed parent who can listen to the message, record a reply and post it back. The tins (which are actually plastic) can store a short audio message of up to 40 seconds and can be used again and again.

The “Talking Tins” come complete with their own box and instructions, so no need to worry about finding a suitable box to send them in. This simple idea has proven very popular with children and parents alike. Talking Tins are available to deployed families and can be obtained from the HIVE/CS Hub.
