Once Upon a Time… There Were Some Very Kind-Hearted Children in West Lynn

Caring Pupils from West Lynn Primary School raise £349 for RAFA Storyboard Wings.

West Lynn Primary School pupils decided to make Storybook Wings charity of the year  after taking part in a Remembrance Day project last year.

Teacher Julie Lister said: “They realised parents in the Armed Forces would worry about the children they were leaving behind.”

Money was raised  at the school’s harvest festival and nativity performances and presented to the King’s Lynn and District Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association. RAFA nationally helps parents record their stories on CD’s and sends them to the children in a personalised cover.

Mrs Lister said “The pupils put their hearts and souls into this, it was quite moving and lovely.”
