Norfolk Family Mediation Service

Changes introduced to the legal aid system on the 1st April 2013 have resulted in legal aid being withdrawn from most matrimonial disputes apart from mediation, which is seen as the ideal route to assist in resolving family disputes.

Family Mediation is intended as a safe and confidential process to help separating and divorced couples make positive and practical decisions on issues such as contact with children, finance and property matters each suited to their own unique situations. Mediation therefore gives a step by step way of thinking through the options.

To assist those here at RAF Marham who may be seeking mediation, Community Support have therefore arranged for the Norfolk Family Mediation Service to hold confidential surgeries in the Hub starting on the 7th May, the intention being to hold a surgery every two weeks, on the 1st  and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

If you would like to book an appointment to see a Counsellor, please contact the Hive on Ext: 7425.
