Narborough Aerodrome Memorial Dedication

Last month saw the unveiling of the Narborough Aerodrome Memorial.

The Parish Council, assisted by RAF Marham organised the event, which saw a memorial dedicated to all personnel that flew from Narborough Aerodrome during WWI. The memorial was unveiled at the site of Narborough Aerodrome (on Chalk Road opposite the RAF Marham turning) on Friday 9th September 2011 by MRAF Sir Michael James Beetham GCB CBE DFC AFC DL.

RAF Marham were invited to attend the dedication ceremony, and provided a Guard of Honour and a Tornado GR4 flypast, which provided a poignant reminder of the contribution RAF Narborough made to WWI.
