During the first weekend of August (2nd-4th) 2013 Cambridge Mini Club are holding the ‘2nd Cambridge Mini Chill,’ the venue for this event is the Eternity Sports & Social Club, Whaddon Road, Royston SG8 5RL.
Whilst Flying the SSAFA banner at the Enfield Pageant of Motoring we at MiniForce were approached by Trevor Knowles who runs the Cambridge Mini Club who wanted to know more about SSAFA and the work they do at RAF Marham. The outcome was that he wished to donate the profits of the ‘chill’ to SSAFA and this money is to be spent at RAF Marham.
The ‘2nd Cambridge Mini Chill’ is set in 14 acres of camping, there are on-site toilets and hot showers, plus a children’s play area. A local band is performing on both Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday night is fancy dress night so it’s hoped lots of people will dress up for the occasion. Rumours say there could be prizes to be won!
Spend the daytime relaxing at the venue or visit the local attractions.
Any auto-jumble gathering dust in the garage? Then bring it along and sell it! The cost of attending the whole or part of the weekend is just £5 per vehicle. Great value for a weekend of family camping. Bring some spending money with you though!
Cambridge Mini Club are hoping to attract as many interesting vehicles as possible so if you own a classic, custom, hot rod or something unusual (it doesn’t need to be a car) then bring it along for all to see, if not come along, and admire what others have brought.
As previously stated the profits of this event are going to SSAFA (Marham) so it will be great to see lots of people from the Marham community. Further event details can be found on the Facebook (Cambridge Mini Chill), contact Trevor, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or us email@example.com.
