This month saw the end of a dream season for the Marham Rally Team.

Having travelled all over the UK competing in the top amateur British Tarmac rally Championship, again the team have brought a collection of honours back to Marham. The Team made up of Wg Cdr Gordon McNair (Team Principal), Sqn Ldr Sally Berris (Team Manager) Driver, Sgt Chris Daykin, Co-driver: SAC Dan Megannity. Mechanics: SAC Neil Beaumont, SAC Brad Carter, SAC Nathan Evans, Cpl Pete Gwilliam, SAC Andy Leonard and SAC Nicci Nelson have finished 8th out of the 116 crews that started the Championship back in February and have collected three top 3 class awards in the process. After a new build of a Subaru Impreza alongside the Chesterfield based “Scooby Clinic” and official support from “Help the Heroes” not only did the team compete against the top teams but raised money for the well known Charity. The Team also supported RAF Recruitment at shows including the famous “Goodwood Festival of Speed” and then by invitation competed against the American driving Star “Ken Block”. Heading into the winter season, now sees the car undergoing a complete overall and upgrade ready for the 2013 challenge. Always looking for new Team members, if any personnel are interested in joining the Team for 2013 season please contact Sgt Chris Daykin in E&LW. The Team would like to thank the Station Commander, all line Managers of Team personnel, MT and PE’d Flight for the invaluable assistance over the year.
