Marham Kiliclimb SETS OFF!

A few weeks ago, and after nearly a year in the planning, a team from RAF Marham set off to attempt the mammoth challenge of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. The team was made up of 7 people; 3 dependants (including the Station Commanders wife), 3 service personnel and one member of BAE Systems. Before heading off Steve Greenbank from BAE Systems presented the team with some items of clothing sponsored by the company.

The team were waved off from RAF Marham by the Station Commander, Flt Lt Gary Walker and friends and colleagues of the intrepid explorers. The Kili Climb team are raising money for the RAF Benevolent Fund and they can be sponsored by visiting www.justgiving.com/Marhamkiliclimb

By the time that this edition of Marham Matters hits the streets the team will have completed this epic challenge and will be back home. Look out for a report of the Kiliclimb in next months edition.
