Marham Jubilee Games

To celebrate the opening of a new MUGA (Multi-Use-Games Area) on the Coronation Field in Marham Village, a sports day was organised between the local schools of Marham and Shouldham villages.

The sporting challenge saw the children playing football, basketball and netball in the new MUGA. Ball games and obstacle events took place on the field with all of the children working in teams and involved at all times. Fortunately the rain held off long enough for the sports to finish and for the children to eat their picnics, whilst the adults enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Borough Mayoress, Susan Sampson said; “This has been a great event, with the children having such a lovely time. It’s great to see the MUGA in use with the children enjoying the outdoor space and fresh air.”

The Station Commander Gp Capt David Cooper and Mrs Cooper attended the event, along with representatives from Norfolk County Council, West Norfolk Council and Marham Parish Council.

The day was very well supported by the local community, the schools and parents, with additional assistance from Chief Technician Paul Nicholson and his team who provide additional support for the event.
