ISS-RAFCRL Partnership Grafton Club Improvements & Availability
The ISS partnership with the RAF for providing Catering, Retail & Leisure will have been in place for a year on June 1st.
Many benefits have been seen over the last year and working together has seen a transformation of the Grafton Club. May 10th saw the second re-opening of what is to be “Club Louis’”. An All-Ranks function organised by the entertainments committee, and an opportunity for the Station Executives to view the Gazebo, new furniture, fixtures, fittings and a five metre drop down screen and projector, prior to the entertainment starting. The project was headed by the ISS-RAF partnering Officer, Flt Lt Rich Upton who was supported by the Grafton Club committee, led by the Chairman, FS Sam Randall, and ISS Communications Manager Keith Appleyard.
Currently the Crèche are using the function room whilst awaiting refurbishment of their normal venue, II (AC) Squadron used the venue for a VIP reception during their centenary celebrations, as did the Scouts on May 12th. There are many ways that the function room may be used and it is available to use for functions to all areas of the Station and Community, should you wish to hold a Squadron Function or even for a family occasion contact SAC John Ding on ext 7376, or speak with Louis’ bar supervisor Bekki McLean. It is anticipated that during the forthcoming Euro 2012 and Olympics there will be a lot of use for the entertainments system.
The Station Cinema Club will be using the facility commencing on Monday June18th at 20:00, Families films will be shown on a Sunday afternoon commencing at 14:00 with Louis’ Bar open from 12:00-15:00 for food and drink in addition to cinema favourites on sale provided by the Cinema Club.

April also saw success for Cpl Caz Froggatt, who completed the London Marathon, Caz was slightly disappointed in her time having completed the course in just over five hours, however we are all delighted that her magnificent effort has raised over £600 for Help for Heroes.
