Help for Heroes & Cancer Research Fundraiser

Lance Corporal Spencer from the Military Provost Guard Service at RAF Marham has recently completed a 100km march to raise money for Help for Heroes and Cancer Research.

Starting from RAF Marham, Lance Corporal Spencer marched to RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire carrying a Bergen (backpack) weighing just over 35lbs, in a time of just 17 hours and 10 minutes.

Lance Corporal Spencer was supported by two of his work colleagues Cpl Clayton and Lance Corporal Leonard who kept him going with encouragement all the way. Lance Corporal Spencer said “The challenge was a great success, it was relatively taxing physically. I am very pleased with all donations raised for Help for Heroes and Cancer Research and would like to thank everyone who has supported me in this challenge.”
