Freedom of the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Parade

As the clouds cleared on what had started off as a very wet and gusty Sunday morning in August, servicemen and women from RAF Marham paraded through the streets of King’s Lynn.

The Freedom of the Borough Parade marched to the Tuesday market place where it was reviewed by the Deputy Mayor of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

The Standard of 31 Squadron and two supporting flight was accompanied by the Band of the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell. Following the parade speeches were made by the Deputy Mayor and Station Commander, Group Captain Harvey Smyth OBE DFC ADC MA RAF. After the parade, a Civic Reception was held in the Town Hall.
