Cpl Larratt has a Successful Season Playing for the RAF Golf Team

I have enjoyed a successful playing year with the RAF, Combined Services and County Golf Teams.

The climax was at the end of the Forces golf season when the RAF team went onto win the Inter Services at Woodhall Spa Golf Club back in September, winning both of our matches against the Army and Navy 9½  to 5½ to become Champions 2012. The RAF team was strong this year and everyone played well with all players winning points. The support we had from everyone there was fantastic from the caddies, to the admin support and our Captain Sqn Ldr Jason Parr who through some nervous times lead us to victory with his ‘just win’ approach.

Earlier in the year I was unbeaten playing for the RAF against the County in the single matches against Norfolk and Lincoln. In the Lincoln match I managed to gain a half against a GB and Ireland International player which gave me a big boost for the forth coming season. I was then on the Norfolk County radar and was selected to play for their first team against Cambridge. Winning both of my points will hopefully put me in a good standing to be selected for matches next season. Playing in further matches for the RAF and Combined Services, saw both teams unbeaten against the Civil Service with the RAF team also beating the RAF Golf Society.
