Busy Evening for OC BSW with Marham Air Cadets

Cadets at 864 (Marham) DF Air Training Corps received a visit from OC Base Support Wing in May.

Wing Commander Steve Dharamraj was kept busy all evening meeting staff, making presentations and promotions and briefing the cadets on Marham’s role in Operation ELLAMY.

Four cadets – Aaron Bannell, Ryan Jackson, Rachel Cooper and Jackson Sargeant all received their First Class Cadet badges and certificates from the Wing Commander who then presented sergeant’s stripes to Cdt Cpl Ben Nurse and corporal’s stripes to Cdt Megan Taylor. In addition, Cadet Aaron Bannell was named Cadet of the Year and received his certificate and trophy from OC BSW.

After the presentations and a well-earned cup of tea, Wing Commander Dharamraj met the unit’s staff and service helpers and then sat down with the cadets to tell them about his own experiences as an Air Cadet, followed by a short briefing on Marham’s historic role in Op ELLAMY.

The cadets’ commanding officer – Flt Lt Tony Hall said “I’d like to thank the Wing Commander for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit us. The cadets were absolutely fascinated by his account of Op ELLAMY”

Marham Air Cadets are now recruiting boys and girls aged from 13 to 16. To see what it is all about, please contact Tony Hall by phone on 07900 518153 or by Email: oc.864df@aircadets.org
