2nd Marham (RAF) Scouts Easter Hike

The 2nd Marham (RAF) Scouts – Easter Hike was along the Derwent Ridge, which is above Derwent Valley in the Peak District, home of the Derwent and Howden dams, the primary training ground for the Dambusters operation.

The Scouts had great fun during the 7.5 mile walk, all enjoying the scenery and on this occasion the added bonus of snow and sunshine.

Scouts meet between 7pm and 9pm every Wednesday, currently in the Chaplaincy Centre, but hopefully moving back into the newly renovated Youth Activity Centre in the not too distant future.

In addition to our weekly programme of activities, we have a series of weekend camps throughout the rest of the spring and summer, culminating in our Summer Camp, which this year is in Guernsey (Channel Islands).
