1st RAF Marham Brownies

The 1st RAF Marham Brownies have now finished for the summer holidays after a very busy and exciting year. At the end of June 15 of the girls and the Owls and Flowers headed off to the Bidwell Centre at Thetford for their first Brownie Pack holiday.

The theme for the weekend was Alice in Wonderland and the girls enjoyed lots of activities based around this theme. They made Mad Hatter’s hats, jam tarts and other crafts and took part in a scavenger hunt to find the pieces of a jigsaw that made up a character from Alice in Wonderland. Saturday night was the Mad Hatter’s tea party with everyone celebrating their ‘Un-Birthday’ followed by a croquet tournament on Sunday.

All of the brownies were awarded certificates and badges for their achievements over the weekend and the holiday finished off with Faith, Ruby and Holly making their promises and becoming fully-fledged Brownies.

The pack has worked extremely hard this year with all the girls gaining a variety of badges including the Olympic badge that took a lot of work and effort to complete. We look forward to seeing them back in September refreshed and raring to go with lots of new challenges that the Owls will have organised through the holiday.

If you have a daughter aged 7 – 10 years who would like to join brownies please contact Jacky Walsingham on 01760 339513.
