15 Squadron – Community Work

During the first week of July, 15 Squadron found a gap in a busy operations programme to organise a variety of support projects aimed at giving back to the community that has welcomed us and our families with open arms.

The projects included: cleaning and reorganising the Station boxing gym, helping the SWO remove barbed wire from Ladywood, refreshed the outside of the community centre and the biggest task of all, helping to rejuvenate the Rainbows Nursery garden. The latter involved fully re-vamping the children’s climbing equipment, painting sheds, benches, seating areas and refreshing the road markings on the children’s cycle track.

Everyone had a great week, whilst it was backbreaking work (for the DIY amateur), it was worth it to see the smiling faces of the children and staff.
